I like transmission and in the past I used to use a webbrowser for my torrents (had a mysql backend) and was great as I could login to it from any machine and just get torrents going. I tend not to bother with that now though - given I'm working off my laptop all the time (ye olde desktop is all packed up my parents loft :-( )

well myth yeah.. the rest should be just in the add/remove software - or open terminal sudo apt-get install programname
