I found I could use it in hospital to escape to a happier place, Sam. I slept most night firmly connected to my music.

I used to fall asleep listening to spoken word programmes on the radio, although sometimes the broadcasts would be such a distraction that they kept me awake.  Now I fall asleep to radio programmes I've copied onto my mp3 player and which I know will be relatively soothing.  I'm currently snoozing to "The Long Goodbye" and I shall be able to review any bits I've missed tonight, unlike with live radio :) .
