f*** Joe McElderry... Rage rules!

I personally quite like Rage... and to be honest they aren't manufactured, just some of went out and bought the single online (I got mine from play.com for 79p just how much music should be).

Its a proper song, written by proper musicians (though I understand its not to all's tastes - I actually wanted Journey to take it at first), not the fake X-factor culture that is all about getting people to sit in front of a tv listening to utter drivel when they could be out hearing proper, live music.  This just shows that the chavs don't rule the country.  :santa:

I grew up with the likes of The Stranglers, The Clash, Sham 69 and other punk bands before looking at other genres.  I'm quite happy listening to Dean Martin, Shakira, The Arctic Monkeys and Chumbawamba.  In fact, my tastes are so catholic I'll listen to just about anything except hip hop.  It's rare that I dislike a track as much as RATM's offering.

If you want to hear some real anti-capitalist music, I recommend Oysterband or Chumbawamba.

Chumbawamba

Also its worth remembering that RATM's song was really not aimed at 2009... and they never would have gone for a Christmas No 1. Though I bet they are pretty chuffed.

Sorry Sam, as much as I respect you, I disagreee with you entireley.

This young lad, Joe McElderry is a credit to his family and exactly how the young people should aim to be. He his hardworking and cares about his family and friends, and has survived a split between his parents. His voice is superb, and hits the notes everytime.
It is unfair that he is caught in this battle against Simon Cowell. I agree that there is some drivel on the programme, but the last three contestants no way can be called drivel.

I wish him every success.

I cant see many familys sat listening to Rage while having Christmas Lunch!
