i dont know if the mobo has shorted might be the psucan always take my psu to the pc shop and ask them if its working or not and if not ill buy one i hope the mobo is not shorted as would save me alot of trouble..

would be a good plan ill see what they say if they say its ok then i know that i need a new mobo but im hoping for the best and see what happens ill have to keep my options open if i need a new mobo ill need one that will support my phenom. :thumbs: :-\

We do, Martin.  I was working on a friend's machine this afternoon, and when I reconnected my own, it was a dead as a dodo.  Think the PSU has gone.  Computers are the devil's work!

its a very weird world i would think if the mobo was dead nothing would work and it would beep like crazy might be the psu ill try tomorrow ans see what they say i was in the study for 4 hours trying to fix it last night and it sent me mad..

now let me think might it of been uncle glenn lol just seems very odddd..ill try tomorrow at the pc shop see what her says i can always take the motherboard down with me some how i think i have a big enough anti static bag and if there is a prob with motherboard hopefully tmsuppliesltd will comply with the warrenty side and help me out.. ???

If you have a 12v bulb from a car, say a sidelight or interior light rather than a headlight one, you could try that across the wires in the 4 pin connector to see if theres power there. Not sure what current they take so the lower wattage bulb the better but I would expect it to provide sufficient to light a 5 watt bulb quite brightly, may save you a trip to the pc shop.

Hello guys and girls i have taken the PSU down to the pc shop and guess what its working fine its the bloody mobo GRRRRRRR so now bought a new one off ebay still not heard anything from the tmsuppliesltd yet off ebay but hopefully they do cough up the mobo is still well within its warrenty.

yes well thats true plus its a 750 watt one so im very happy that its not blown cost 45 quid lol the mobo only cost me 35 earlier off ebay just ashame that the mobo has died it has been playing up for weeks but dident think much of it.
