Help with Silverfast
« on: January 03, 2010, 18:53 »
Has any one used Silverfast with their scanner? I have just bought a Canon 8800f scanner and when I tried to scan colour negatives (12 at a time) using Arcsoft Photo Studio 5.5 they appeared to have a rain drop effect on them. I have tried scanning in using Silverfast which also came with the scanner but I can't seem to scan them as individual negatives when scanning in a batch of 12.  :(
Fourth in the 2018 Quiz of the Year but at least I beat Clive.

Sorry Den, it's a mystery to me  but I'll see what I can find out later.

I have used silverfast but only with a dedicated slide and negative scanner. Never tried it with a flatbed scanner.

I've not had much luck either, Den, other than finding a website called www.luminous-landscapes.com, which may or may not be any use.  They do have some Silverfast tutorials on there.
