Firefox 3.6 officially unveiled
« on: January 21, 2010, 18:03 »
Mozilla has finally unveiled the final version of its latest browser, Firefox 3.6.

On the surface Firefox 3.6 looks very similar to Firefox 3.5 but most of the major changes are under the surface.

According to Mozilla, Firefox 3.6 is faster than its predecessor - 20 per cent faster, apparently - and it is also less prone to crashing.

There is also a new security feature that ensures all of your plug-ins - Adobe Flash and Microsoft Silverlight, for example - are up to date.

Personas is a tool that lets you choose a theme for your browser interface and with 35,000 templates to choose from you should find something you like.

There are versions for the Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems available to download for free.

You can download Firefox 3.6 from the Mozilla website.
