AVG 9.0
« on: January 29, 2010, 21:37 »
I used to use AVG 8.5 and Zone Alarm firewall without any problems. In December AVG forced people to upgrade
to 9.0.After installing the upgrade product I thought that I had an infected computer.
Web pages either blank or taking minutes to load.
I looked and found that many people have these same problems with AVG 9.0.
Looking at computer shopper magazine they gave it top marks for a free anti virus, concered that they had no idea, that the product has major problems.
I did follow there recommendations however and installed MSE.
Cannot understand why a major player in the PC magazine market failed to pick up on the AVG  problem.

does seem odd that they missed it.. maybe it only is an issue on a combination of things (or if you don't do a fresh install?)
