No, but the pasta still tastes like pasta.  ;)

Pasta is meant to - it's the sauces that count. (Even then, there are flavoured pastas...)

Ah, now you're changing the goalposts, and talking about the sauces.  So, my argument that pasta is pasta still stands.

But a pasta dish is how you eat it, ie with sauce. No pasta alone tastes like lasagne, after all. :)

So what exactly don't you like? Do you like noodles with Chinese food?

I guess it's not fair to say I don't like it, it's just that I prefer more spicy foods.  Most Italian dishes are not *hot* spicy, and always seem to taste of nothing much but tomato to me.  I had a mushroom something-or-other starter yesterday, which was vegetable stuffed mushrooms, but the sauce just made it taste like Ravioli with mushrooms.

Most Italian dishes are tomato based, and very few use the hot spices, so I guess you're better off sticking to DR and the far east. :)

The Blessed Delia has a good recipe for spag bol.  Extremely tasty and easy to follow.
