I got a cheap one (actually a combo alarm clock too) from Asda a few years back and how that's pretty good. Not perfect sound, but for £20 it wasn't bad at all. It also has radio and minijack input... so I was quite happy. If I want proper sound I plug my big system into my computer.

If I want big sound, I play a CD on my big amp and big speakers.  Can't be arsed plugging it into the PC.

lol. I dont have anything like that... might once I move into a permanent place. Here I just have my laptop...

Actually I listen to a lot of internet radio these days.

That's something I've never investigated.

or Internet radio? (for me that normally ends up being 5live at the moment)

Internet Radio.  Just don't have time to sit and listen.

You can buy portable internet radios that work wirelessly direct from the router.
