Was the great man himself there or has he gone to that great space telescope in the sky?

Indeed he was there it was a fantastic experience to hear him talk - he stood there for half an hour without stopping. Great. The scary part was me sitting the row behind and him turning around and asking what I do!

That was a great privilege Sam.  He is one of the true greats of radio astronomy.
