LG Flatron Monitor L1915S

The green power light goes on for a split second and then goes off, :dunno:and Monitor does not come on
Any ideas please.

I'm sure there will be some other opinions, but have you checked the connections between the PC and the monitor?

Is this a new monitor ?
Is it DVI and VGA and have you switched it to the correct input to match your pcs output ?

Hi All, Checked connections between pc and monitor, no probs.The monitor is VGA and no switch. Have checked card and no problem. Have stripped the monitor down and it looks like a few of the capacitors have leaked. Have taken a few pictures, but don't think I can upload them here.

No monitor is not new, was made in '05
