Back in the 70s, book clubs were big business. There was a huge range of 'individual' clubs, eg History, Military, Fiction etc, but it was one business - Book Club Associates, BCA. Their editions were printed from the same plates as the original books, but used cheaper paper and binding - not bad, but not as good as.
