Flock — the so-called social web browser — has dumped its traditional Firefox core in favor of Chromium, the open source incarnation of Google's Chrome browser.

-- I recently installed Chrome on my Ubuntu machine to give it a go - seems pretty nice. I do like the fact that each tab is a specific thread on my processor - nice. Still won't replace firefox for me yet though.

Mrs Clive likes Chrome because she reckons it's faster than her beloved Firefox.  I am strangely drawn to The Great Avant - accept no imitations.   ;D

firefox need an architecture change to keep up with the pace that chrome are setting.

bit old but http://news.cnet.com/8301-1001_3-10030888-92.html  gives some speed comparisons.

I should point out that I'm using Chromium, which is the version for Linux.
