FA Trophy 1st Round:

Chorley 2 - 1  Curzon Ashton

A tough cup tie against the team that are top of the league below us and unbeaten so far this season.  Took the lead on four minutes, only to go down to ten men on the half hour.  Hung on for just short of a hour until Curzon got a deserved equaliser on 87 minutes.  This seemed to galvanise Chorley who suddenly found fresh legs and swept up the field to score a superb winner in the second minute of four added on.

Twelve in a row unbeaten now.  :)

A good day to be a Chorley FC supporter.  First, we have won the Club of the Month award for the second month running, having won all eight matches we played in November, then we get a home draw against either Dartford or Forest Green Rovers (they have to replay) from the Conference in the second round of the FA Trophy.  :)

Droylsden 0 - 5 Chorley.

Back to the top of the league - two points clear of second placed Skelmersdale United, with two games in hand of them.  :)

New management team in place, Steve ball ex Arsenal and Norwich / Colchester has taken the helm. Steve has stepped up from being 1st team coach to Manager, and I couldn't be more happier with his promotion , a real players manager.

Long winning run comes to an end.

Chorley 1 - 2 Barwell  :bawl:

Might as well get used to losing, as next Saturday it's Conference side Forest Green Rovers in the 2nd Round of the FA Trophy.
