Stocksbridge Park Steels 2 - 2 Chorley.   :-\

Poor result, really, as Stocksbridge are third from bottom and had four put past them at home two days ago.  Additionally, Skelmersdale lost to form team Worksop.  A golden opportunity to pull clear of main rivals for the title missed.  As it stands, Worksop now leap Chorley into second place by two points, although we have three games in hand of them.  Skelmersdale still top, four points ahead of Chorley having played three games more.

Chorley 3 - 1 AFC Fylde   ;D

What would have been seen earlier in the season as a six-pointer, turned into a routine win.  Two goals in injury time at the end of the first half saw off the millionaires and sent the most hated club in our league slide to tenth in a table they topped earlier in the season.

Worksop lost at Matlock, putting us back in second place, three points behind Skelmersdale United with three games in hand of them.

Looks as if our match against Grantham Town is ON.  We are lucky in that the owner is also the owner of Preston North End, so the PNE ground staff look after the pitch.  With professionals looking after the pitch, we have fewer home postponements than other non-league clubs in the north west.

Interestingly, six miles down the A6, Bamber Bridge from Division One North are also ON.  Mr Hemmings owns them, too, and the Preston ground staff maintain their pitch.

Chorley 3 - 1 Grantham Town.  Att. 813

Good game on a heavy pitch.  Came back from conceding early to take all three points.

Worksop lost 2-3 to Łylde, while Skelmersdale could only manage a 2-2 draw at Whitby.  Now one point behind Skem with three games in hand and four points ahead of Worksop - again having played three games less.

I'm surprised it wasn't all flooded.  Everywhere else seems to be.  :(

Just been on Twitter to catch the Leiston score and, apparently, we had a match tonight in some mickey mouse cup.  Only recognised one of the starting 11, so I presume the rest of them had come from Darwen FC Academy, who we have some sort of agreement with.  Should keep the senior team fresh for the FA Trophy last 16 tie away to Conference strugglers, Tamworth, on Saturday.

Chorley 1 - 4 Witton Albion  Att. 282
