Top vs bottom and a chance to put some daylight on the goal difference between Chorley and FC United of Manchester.

Chorley 13 - 1 Droylsden.

We were 5-0 up after twelve minutes but then took the foot off the gas.

Wow! I checked at half time and it was scoreless. Must have been a good second half, Terry!  :)

Massive match tonight which, had there been a winner, could have been the title decider.

FC United of Manchester 2 - 2 Chorley  Att. 4152

The large 1000+ travelling contingent saw us take the lead on twelve minutes, but then go down to ten men when striker, Darren Stephenson, inexplicably got himself a straight red on the stroke of half time by hauling down and then chinnning an FCUM defender.  Silly boy!  It was then backs to the wall but, incredibly, we got a second in our first venture into the FCUM half since the break on the hour mark.  We then defended heroically, only to concede two in the last eight minutes.

Still top, three points and eleven goals better than FCUM, having played a game more and three points and thirteen goals ahead of Łylde who won tonight and stay third.

Leiston 0 -0 Kinstonians.  yet more points gained off the top 6 teams and playing most of the match with 10 men. best game I have seen for a while even if it was 0-0

Chorley 3 - 1 Stocksbridge Park Steels.

An awful game, but I'll take a win no matter how it comes at this stage!

FC United of Manchester 1 - 2 Buxton

Łylde had no game.

Six points ahead of FC and Łylde, having played one game more.  Realistically, with our massive goals advantage, we need to win two from the last three to take the title and that's assuming the other two win all their remaining games.

Surely, we can't slip up now - but seeing we should already be well out of sight I'm not counting my chickens just yet!

How we won 3 - 1 I will never know.  6 changes to the team including a reserve keeper and missing a pen in the first 10 mins going a goal behind then winning 3 - 1 .... its a funny old game

That was a typical end of season game were we played a team that was already relegated 0 - 1    lots of supporters unhappy and I don't disagree 1 bit after that load of s**te  :-X

A game that was totally different from last weeks debacle, Leiston yet again defeated another top 4 team 2 - 3 away from home and done the double over Dulwich. what I cant understand how we can lose to a team relegated last week then beat a top 4 team ..beggars belief  :-X

Whitby 1 - 1 Chorley

AFC Fylde 1 - 2 Grantham

Stamford 2 - 3 FC United of Manchester

That realistically puts Łylde out of the title race.  Chorley one point ahead of FCUM with two games to play.

As a side note, Skelmersdale United, who were top of the league for two thirds of the season (albeit having played more games than Chorley, who at that time looked like their only serious rivals) lost again today, are bottom of the form table over the last ten matches and can't even make the play-offs!

Incredible.  :o

Chorley 4 - 0 Marine  Att. 2128

FC United of Manchester 3 -2 Ashton United

Chorley were one minute off winning the league, but FCUM score more last minute winners than big United used to when Ferguson was manager.  It's all down to next Saturday now.  Chorley travel to Buxton and FCUM travel to Barwell.

Buxton 0-2 Chorley.

Champions!

Scored dead on half time and then hung on until the last minute when we broke and bundled the ball into the net.

1500 Chorley fans invaded the pitch.

I'm wrecked!
