Chorley 2 - 2 Ashton United.

Could have been 5-1 up at half time.  Similarly, dominated in the second half and went 2-1 up with a goal from debutant, Matt Walwyn.  Unfortunately, then decided to sit on the lead and started playing hit and hope stuff to try and put the wingers through.  Matt Jansen came off the bench and tried to revert to the passing game, but was playing a different game than the rest.  Inevitably, Ashton scored in the final minute of added on time to take a share of the points.  :ack:

Yesterdays match is being played today as Romford Ground share and the other team had a Cup game that takes precedence.

FA Trophy 1st Qualifying Round:

Marine 1 - Chorley 0.

TBH, I don't know why we bother participating in this competition.  Since reaching the Semi-Final in 1996, we have won just one match in sixteen seasons.
