Stocksbridge 4 -5 Chorley.
Didn't see the game. as I've been away all weekend, but I was following it on Twitter.
Chorley began the new league campaign on Friday night by just edging a nine goal thriller away to Stocksbridge. Went behind on the quarter hour mark, before levelling five minutes later through Kieran Kilheeney. Stocksbridge retook the lead within four minutes, only for Chorley to equalise ten minutes later through Adam Roscoe and send the teams in all square at half time. A goal three minutes after the break put Stocksbridge ahead for the third time in the game and when they went 4-2 up with twenty minutes remaining it looked like curtains for Chorley. However, a goal from Tom Ince from the restart gave Chorley hope and when he put the ball in the net again three minutes later it looked as if it was anybody's. Within another three minutes Chorley were in front due to Andy Russell and in a frantic final few minutes both sides could have doubled their tally - at least it seemed that way following the match on Twitter.
