Back off to the smoke this afternoon v Carshalton , next home game 9th March  :o

Leiston are now finding there feet after starting life in the highest league that they have ever been in (Isthmian Premier) 1st 10 games were all against favourites to win the league but now with a fairly settles side and a manager (temp) who is not afraid to play attacking football unlike the previous manager (Morsely) whcontinuouslyly played just one up front even at home games, Leiston are now comfortably mid table and only a few points from the play off.
I personally think we have more than peaked and before the end of the season we have to put a new grandstand in to house 100 extra fans (wtf) we have an average attendance of 203 and at the moment we have enough grandstand coverage to keep 1000 fans dry? so why do we have to have another grandstand at a cost of c£10,000 all extra cost and the dugouts also have to be moved to the east side of the pitch away from one of the main stands we will struggle to make and at least break even at the end of the season. I have been to several away games and no way are they the same standard as what we have to be at ?? maybe it's because we are new boys and the clubs who have been in the league for years don't have to modernise.

Rant over.

See that on the Sky sports screen yesterday afternoon when watching the Reserves. well done to Daves team.

While watching our reserves play yesterday it all kicked off  :o  I think the race card was used ...whoops The visitors didnt use the Hospitality afterwards as they new they were in the wrong, it's a pity really as the Referee was a young girl (18 or 19) who was officiating her 1st match at this level and it had to kick off. The Suffolk FA referees coach was there watching and even he got involved on the pitch? did'nt think he was allowed on the pitch though..more to come I think.

Mind you the food they didn't eat afterwards was most welcome after a Saturday session
