Samsung Galaxy Tab arrives 1 November
« on: October 01, 2010, 22:14 »
The Samsung Galaxy Tab will hit UK stores in November, but the price of the Android-based tablet has still not been revealed.

Unveiled at IFA last month, the Galaxy Tab was expected to arrive in October, although the exact date wasn't confirmed at the time. Now, it will appear on 1 November, in plenty of time for the key Christmas shopping season.

The price remains a mystery, however. "The Galaxy Tab will be available on a range of attractive price packages, making it as widely accessible as possible to all consumers," Samsung promised.

The iPad rival will be stocked by all the major mobile operators and high-street retailers, such as Carphone Warehouse and Dixons.

What's starting to irritate me is, why does every new tablet released have to be an "iPad rival", and likewise, every new smartphone, an "iPhone killer"?  Why does everything have to 'rival' Apple, and not just be a product of it's own making?
