To be quite honest, bump keys
do work on some locks - but so do strips of plastic, and they're quieter. Anyone who gives a hoot about locks which meet their insurers requirements would have a proper lever mortice lock installed anyway.
There are several other matters that a burglar would consider before approaching a house with a view to breaking in through the front door. Visibility is particularly important; if there's a camera on the door and/or a light, the house is much less attractive. Similarly, if the frontage is open with no hedges, walls or porches to hide behind. Of course, the traditional deterrent of a "Beware of the dog" sign affixed to the door also helps.
