Notebook battery
« on: January 21, 2011, 13:07 »
Hello Pals,

I'm looking for a new battery.
It is a 10.8V and the majority of the batteries that I find on the net are 11.1V
In your opinion would this difference make much of a difference to my notebook.

Cheers

John

I guess it might not provide enough power.

What is the spec of the battery? i.e. make, what notebook for?

Hi Sam,

First of all it's for an Acer Aspire One ZG5. I use it generally for surfing and Word, nothing too heavy. It's usually on for an hour or two five days per week.

Li-ion Battery pack
Model UM08A52
10.8V
2.7 Ah
2900mAh
32Wh

There are plenty on the net, but 11.1V

What do you think?

You should be OK, John, provided they fit. I take it you're out of warranty?

Hi Rik

Yep. No warranty.
My daughter got it from a friend, and she gave it to me. It's called notebook laundering :D

If I get one more thumbs up I'll get one.

Thanks Rik
