I don't tend to go back much further than the 70s with films, so a lot of them were before my time, in that respect.

I go back more to the 60s, inevitably. TBH, though, I've never been a huge movie fan, in the past couple of months, I've probably watched about 8 films on Sky Movies. It's now cancelled, but if I go back next Xmas, I'd bet that I wouldn't find more than a handful to catch up on.

I watch films to be entertained.  I don't expect to take anything much away from them, and I can't say that a movie has ever changed my life.  I don't watch them with the eye of the critique either.  Bombs, blood, car chases and tits will do me fine!  ;D

 ;D

I tend to go for films, and books, where the characters are strongly developed.

It's got to grab my attention within the first 20 mins, or I tend to give up.  I can usually get a 'feel' for a movie by then.

I used to be a real avid years ago but not anymore.  I'm tempted by Brighton Rock and Chalet Girl but I'd like to see some reviews first.
