... when I flew home at xmas I saw wonderful aurora over Yellowknife.

yeah it was... then we ended up being diverted to Paris, all went downhill then.

What don't you like about Paris??

getting stuck there when its snowing... and I should have been at heathrow...

Ah, point taken.  But if you get the chance you should pop over and pay a visit.  It's a lovely city.

I've been there before, I did quite enjoy it. I'd go again... Lizzie went last year with her folks as she had some cash from KLM/Air France to use as they messed her about on a flight from here.
