Help required with IE9
«

I have to access customers CCTV systems on line and it works fine with IE8 but has never run with Firefox or Chrome. With IE9 it works some times and then it takes a while to log on. On Friday I uninstalled IE9 and went back to IE8 and I was able to log on fine. W7 kept pestering me to upgrade to IE9 so I thought perhaps a clean install of IE9 would cure the problem but it did not. Any one with any ideas what I am missing.

Does it require some sort of plugin, ie, Flash, Den?

I just don't understand how it works well with IE8 but not IE9, If I revert to IE8 it works fine, in iE9 I have even tried the compatibility mode to no avail.

I don't really have any experience with IE8 or IE9, Den, but I wonder if there's a plugin for IE8 which hasn't been updated for IE9?

Or is it a Java issue?

I was given a tip next door to use the add on for Chrome (IE Tab) and it works fine ':| . Today I had a problem printing my Certificate of Conformity from the SSAIB using IE8 so after setting up Chrome I reinstalled IE9 and the Certificates printed fine.

I have just installed Safari and thought I would give it a try. It ran the CCTV systems straight away and seems really nice to use. I think I will play with it for a while.

It's not bad at all. The deal breaker for me was that there's no way to import saved passwords from Firefox.

I only ever use safari if I'm on a mac and have no option. It's jot a bad tool though I don't find it as nice to use as FireFox or Chrome but of those don't work gotta do what you gotta do.
