I think I'll be speccing solid state for the OS and apps drives in my next machine.

I tend to have two small drives, for OS & apps, Sam, then a couple of large drives, one for data, the other to backup internally. SS drives make good sense for that scenario.

similar here but will be putting an solid state disk asap - wasn't cost effective before I went to Canada, is now.
