How safe are you
« on: July 11, 2011, 17:54 »
I went into a business / shop in Wrexham the other day and we were discussing mobile phones when I switched mine to search for wi-fi and imigine my surprise when I realised that their router was unprotected completely. Today on the phone I mentioned this and owner (my nephew) said he did not see the point in having a password and does not bother with the one in his home either. I asked if he did online banking and he said no, as he did not think it was safe.  ':|
Fourth in the 2018 Quiz of the Year but at least I beat Clive.

Now that's just crazy. Just because you don't do online banking doesn't mean you shouldn't have your connection secure. Most are easy to hack but its not the point. Your connection should be encrypted to some level, who knows what people can interception. Now at home that's your own decision - but in a place of work well you are opening yourself up to a whole world of pain.

:aarrgh:  What an insult!      Profuse apologies, Sam.  I did think it was unusual for Clive to post something so sensible.  :)x
