Mozilla today released Firefox 6, the second edition since it shifted to a rapid-ship cycle that delivers a new version of the browser every six weeks.

what I dont like about it is that it upgrades without asking even if you check manually.It should ask first surely



what if you are happy with an earlier version.

SeaMonkey doesn't.  It updates seamlessly, and appears just as it was before.  :)

It still exists because it's a good browser suite and people are still developing it.  I don't know why people don't like it. It's Firefox without the bloat.  :)

I'm just curious why Mozilla haven't chosen to put everything into Firefox and Thunderbird?

They have.  SeaMonkey is being developed by a separate group, but I think they are still under the Mozilla umbrella.
