But you don't use it!  :laugh:

If it's applying security patches, where people might otherwise not do so, I can't see the problem.  If, however, it upgrades to a full and very different new version without warning the user, then I guess that's a bit of a liberty.

In which case, it's a question of saying no.  I guess an opt in option would be preferable.

Yeah, Google Chrome does it without any user input, but as Sam points out - it is a Microshaft update!  :ack:
