Screen saver or not
« on: May 19, 2003, 18:41 »
Hi all... ;D  only me

Right.. not a big problem just a little niggle to get your heads round.
Screen saver or not, over the past few months my screen saver clicks in after 10 mins and a display comes up with what I have set...right following this  ;D well some times not all the time it sets like a power saver in the power saving settings and the VDU switches off.
Well I have checked all settings in power saver and all set to do nothing  :o  why then do the screen switches off.
Like I said only a small niggle  8) I'm in charge of this computer right... wrong  :'(

Hookstar

Ps I have searched this pc all over, might be a simple thing might be one of those weird alien things  ;D

Have you checked in the BIOS or just in XP settings Hook ?
It could well be the setting in BIOS that needs changing to how you want  :-*

So let me get this right Hookstar. What you are saying is that whether you set a screensaver or set the screensaver as "none", it still comes on after 10 mins?

I doubt if this has anything to do with the BIOS as XP will override BIOS power management settings.

What happens if you set the power scheme option to "Always On"?
