Can you copy all the data to a new calendar, on the device it displays correctly on, then try to create a new backup in iCloud?

I've tried to back up calendars on the iPad to the iCloud but it just does not seem to change anything.

Logged out of iCloud, logged back in again and changed the settings to how they was before and the iCloud tab appeared in the ribbon on Outlook, all is well again.
