I just watched the Urugay v Italy game. Good win for Uruguay - I thought that Suarez had lost his appetite for the game! How wrong could I be?

The trouble is, as soon as I hear the words 'world' and 'cup' together, I just switch off.  But I did hear that one guy bit another.

A four month ban!  What's the point of that?   :dunno:

What's the point of anything where football is concerned?  :dunno:

I assume that you don't understand or watch football Simon.  ::)

Although a player is caught out kicking/biting/butting another player I think that the punishment should be confined to were the player committed it. If he was playing for his country then it should be an international ban and not a club ban. After all that's how it is the other way around. If a player has a club ban he can still play for his country. If I owned a football club I would be reluctant to let a player play for his country in case he got sent off and then got banned for the club costing me money and maybe losing out on the league.  ':|
Fourth in the 2018 Quiz of the Year but at least I beat Clive.
