Downloading Windows Updates
« on: June 09, 2003, 11:15 »
Hi All,

I've been downloading the windows updates as usual recently, but wondering where does windows store them once they have been downloaded.

The reason I ask is, I have two PC's - so rather than downloading them all twice (which is painful enough - but I'm on 28k!!!) - I'd rather download them once and then copy them to the other PC.

Is this possible??

Thanks

@DJ1UK

You will find the updates in the Windows folder i.e.

C:\WINDOWS\...............\Q329834$

The bad news is that all the updates are machine specific and self installing so its unlikely to be of any use to you.

Ok - Thanks for the reply.

I'll just have to download them twice then. Broadband is here at the end of the month - so I'll be much quicker then.
