Topic: The new Elvis film

We saw it last night and confirm it’s a stunning movie.  It’s fast moving and the actor who plays Elvis is astonishingly good.  The Colonel is played by Tom Hanks who is truly magnificent.  From the start it’s clear that Tom Parker is. Slime bag who along with Elvis’s family imprison the singer in the US for their own greed .  His father, cousins - all hangers on bleeding Elvis dry.  Parker had huge gambling debts in Vegas so he tricked Presley into performing there for five years which exhausted him leading to his death  at just 42.  Well worth watching!

I think we all knew that Parker stitched Elvis up but the film has provided more detail for me.
