Brian,
There are no FAQs because we like to be as informal as possible here
after a bad experience elsewhere. But we do, however, have some commonsense rules which the Admins and Mods have agreed.
In the registration form that you filled in when you signed up, it clearly states that your posts to PC-Pals are not to break ANY laws. Your post took me directly to a site which contains information about extending the life of "time-limited" software - clearly an illegal activity. I'm not trying to be "holier that thou" here. We all know that hacking/cracking goes on and it is not my place to preach.
However our Web Hosts clearly state in their T&Cs that any reference to Hacking/Cracking/Illegal Software/Warez/Illegal MP3s/Porn etc. on our site either directly or indirectly by link could lead to the site being closed down. There are also fairly substantial financial penalties involved for breaching the T&Cs.
PC-Pals is too important to us to be lost due to a breach of these T&Cs, so we jump on any post which looks even a little bit "dodgy". It's nothing personal Brian honestly
As Simon says, we are now (reluctanlty) going to discuss a more formal expression of our T&Cs and will post them as soon as we can.
