Outlook Express
« on: August 17, 2003, 14:54 »
I did a windows update this morning and downloaded DirectX9 and after reboot Outlook Express had disappeared.  I ran Norton utilities and it brought up 3 faults concerning Outlook Express. Did a repair but it didn't cure the problem.  I had to do a system restore and Outlook Express is back.  Could the Windows Update have caused this problem? ???

I have been considering doing a Windows Update myself Lona but your post has fortunately made me see sense.   ;D  I presume that if you have done a System Restore that the updates have disappeared too.   ;D  Don't take my word for that though as I know some updates cannot be got rid of that easily.  Mind you, every cloud has a silver lining.  No Outlook Express = no spam.  Ah - the simplicity of it all.   :heehee:
