It means that some of the CMOS settings in your BIOS have become corrupt.

The corrupt settings will have been changed back to their default values.

Usually down to dead/dieing battery on the motherboard - check your clock in the bios and see if that has been reset.
hey promised the earth! Then delivered mud.
Technically it did meet the spec.

@Dominic
Change the battery but check the BIOS settings and make a record of them first

@Dominic
Yes to both questions my friend, the battery is a small round silver object situated on the motherboard and it just clips out, clip the new one into place and boot the PC

Do these batteries have an estimated lifespan Brian?

So this could be the cause of the first boot crashes? also is there different types of batteries or they all the same?

Also after say 15 mins of crashing, pc will stay on, so could this still mean its battery? i disabled quick boot in bios and it checks the ram, ide's devices fine.

Possibly - do you have the same motherboard and power supply as the link?

It COULD be whats causing your start up problem but one problem at a time :)

Usually these days the battery is a 2032 (a small disc 20mm wide by 3.2mm thick)and should cost £1 to £2

Hi Dominic,

     It's a celle batterie like the one inside your watch but bigger. You open your computer and you will see it on the motherboard as they said to you, silver round 20 mm diameter. take it off and show it to the sailerman to give you another with the same number written on it. It's 3 volt batterie.

I have never changed mine. I didn't hear anything risky for doing that.

    My opinion, put you PC off and take it off. I don't see any risk in doing so.
