Topic: How can I boot from different disks ?

It has a default option which is chosen when a countdown timer runs to zero.

The defaults can be set from Control Panel|System Properties|Advanced|Startup and Recovery Settings

I guess this is going to be a really simple answer but how do I install W98 onto a slave drive when I have an existing W98 system on the Master. I haven't seen an option asking which drive I want to install on.

Previously I have swopped the physical drives but apparently I cannot get dual boot working on both drives if I do this ?

If you are installing XP it asks you which drive you want to install it on if it detects an existing OS on a drive already on your pc.
If you want to put a second version of 98 on then I think you can do that when you boot into DOS,choose setup E (or whatever your cd rom drive is)and as it installs it will ask to confirm that you want it on C,change this to the drive that you want it on.
I have never tried putting 98 onto 2 drives so I am guessing at this but I thought it would give you the option to overwrite C or install on another drive/bootable partition :doggie:

Have you tried the BOOT MANAGER software that was suggested by myself and Whitedevil yesterday Andy ?
That looked like it should enable your curent set up to dual boot :doggie:

Thanks for the advice Lobo. Downloaded Osloader and it does exactly what it says, automatically.Seems to be  a professional tool.  Best $25 I have spent recently 'cos I now have access to everything I need.
