(Another escapee from my po before I go out)

If you are running XP you don't need to use Nero to burn a disc - you just put a blank disc in the drive, use windows explorer to navigate to where the Divx is, copy it to the CD drive and then press the text marked "write these files to CD" from the explorer window.

Then bobs your aunties live in lover.
hey promised the earth! Then delivered mud.
Technically it did meet the spec.

Bob, my aunt and myself thank you for that Dack  ;D
It takes a lot longer than it would do if Nero would do it but at least it works that way  :-*

Ok as an update to my earlier problem of how to burn a DivX film as DivX it works fine on XPs own burning stuff doing it as Dack said.
My only problem now is that if I burn as DivX or as an SVCD, then Nero wont do a copy cd although I can do it using XPs own burner in most cases, using the same method as for burning the original DivX as suggested by Dack.
I did have one SVCD tonight that wont let me copy it even doing it with XPs own proggie  ???
I did a copy of the first part of a film that was 699 mbs with no problem on a 700 mb cd, (it did say 702 mbs available prior to burning), but it said that the second part was too big by 72 mbs although it was only 669 mbs and I wrote the same part 2 from my hard drive to that same CD without any problem as fortunately I hadnt deleted the original files yet.
Is this a problem with my PC or my version of Nero ?

Ah young padwan!

It truly does sound as if your copy of Nero has turned to the dark side.

SVCD's are a funny format in that they are two tracks in mode 2 and so can't be copied by simple drag and drop (as you will only copy the data on the second track).

Mode 2 also doesn't have the same level of error checking built in as Mode 1 so you can fit more data on a disc.

Solution?

Try reinstalling Nero or use version 5 instead.

Thanka Obiwan  :-*

So how come I could do the first SVCD by  dragging and dropping ok but not the second, and why did it say it was bigger than it actually was  ???
