I make it 25p Adept.Actually I dont go back quite that far but I remember buying petrol at 6s 8d per gallon which was 3 gallons for a pound or about 7.5p per litre in todays money

And I could have a good night out,even if I bought my own drinks,for a pound (I drank quite a lot in those days too)

The downside was that I only earned £5 and 10s for a five and a half day week working in an insurance office as a clerk back in 1968
