Sky Remote Codes
« on: November 30, 2003, 12:10 »
If any of you have sky you might know that the remote looses it's memory if there isn't any batteries or the batteries are dead. So, if your remote does loose it's memory, don't worry, don't call Sky's national rate number... goto: www.digitalspy.co.uk  ;D

Why didn't you post that yesterday Robo, as I had to switch telly's owing to my LCD brand new telly's screen blowing up. I had to phone the nat rate number to get the code for Sony as the 0000 number wouldn't work.  :P

:believe: You had better believe it Michelle, 2 weeks we had it and the screen burned up.  :(. I had no problems with the dealer but refused a replacement, as once bitten twice shy.  They assured me that I was just one of the unlucky ones but then that's the story of my life.  :(.  I have chosen another model but just plain widescreen this time. I think I will wait for a couple of years until they perfect these LCD screen tellys as they can't even repair them if something goes wrong and it's an awful lot of money to pay out when even the manufacturer's don't know their life span.  It was excellant for 2 weeks viewing and I will be sorry to go back to regular crt screen but then that's life ain't it.  :)

I can't remember where the thread was now, but I thought there was a choice between a Sony and a Philips?

You just can't get good mods these days. ;)

Your right, Simon, but I don't think it was anything to do with Philips.  I think it was just our luck.  I was wondering if leaving the menu up on sky caused it to burn up as it is static. The thing is, I am not prepared to risk all that money if they are so temperamental. :o
