Low resources
« on: January 16, 2004, 17:51 »
I keep receiving a message that my pc is dangerously low in resources. Is this memory related and should I be adding more memory.? ???

Its probably due to all the downloading you have done since getting ADSL Lona  ;)
If you dont have much space left on your hard drive then your pc cant use as much as it for the Virtual Memory as it did before.
Delete any unecessary files and copy any downloaded stuff to cds and then delete the original, dont forget to empty your recycle bin as that takes up space too.
You could add more ram too but if it was ok prior to getting "download fever" then I should think that its hard drive space that it is needing more than ram  :)

Resources are RAM + Virtual Memory which is the part of your hard drive that your OS uses as if it was RAM.
I cant remember if you have youre drive partitioned or not.
If it is then you may have 12 gig spare in total but not much on C and you may be set to use C as VM   ???
