rsonal memory, right now I have got your attention

Can anybody remember who posted a link to a site where there was a downloadable tool for disabling Epson printer cartrige monitoring? I read somewhere, that the built in cartrige monitoring cut down the prints per cartridge by around 25%

I thought it was either lobo or Dack, but I could be wrong

I read a magazine test report and it turns out that despite common sense, you don't notice a loss of quality even with quite high ink saving settings. Some printers work better than others. I can't remember where i read it, but it was within the past month.

While your still deciding to use it or not try Ink Saver and put it on 20%. Looks bout the same as normal but saves 20% of the ink

Tony, why don't you just disable it in Monitoring Preferences?  That's what I did, and now I don't get informed until the ink actually runs out and it stops printing.

It never fails GK, and it is a tossup [no pun intended]regards who read it first, it was either Shell or Hooky

As usual I was right yet again

However after installing it, I just keep getting an error message....."printer off, or some other problem"  Looked up the help files [Sandra would be proud of me} it suggests disabling Epson Status Monitor. Which I have, by stopping it loading at startup, but still no joy. Bugger, it looked a handy bit of kit and all.     :'(
