Title: DVD labelling
Post by: Clive on February 10, 2004, 22:31
How does everyone label their DVD's?  At the moment I am just using a magic marker but that looks really scruffy.  Can you buy proper labels which can be used with some sort of software and print them out in colour?

I mostly use a CD pen myself Clive, but when a bit of quality is required I use PressIT CD labels (from EBuyer (http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=10978)) with a PressIT applicator.

Up until recently I was using the CD Label creator in Roxio Easy CD Creator, but I assume there is equivalent software in Nero too.

Short of that Microsof Word will allow passable labels to be designed.

There are several labelling kits you can buy, Clive.  I happen to use Fellowes CD / DVD Labels, which are available in kits, or just labels, from Dixons / Currys / PC World.  The kit costs £19.99, including labels and PC software.

Thanks for those tips guys.  I've just looked in the Viking catalogue and found the system Simon is referring to and it costs £19.99 there too.   ;D

Make sure that you print the label before you stick it on your DVD Clive, as they dont half make a noise as you send your DVD through the printer  ;D ;D ;D

When we have another run of CD labels at work I will save some for you  ;). Probably in about 3 weeks time.

I bought one of the Fellowes Mediaface packages and must say that I'm very impressed with it.  It's very easy to use and the DVD labels look quite professional.  Another success story!
