Title: Boot Problem

After having trouble starting my pc, I looked around and found in one log a message that said (Failure Code 0016) and in Dr. Watson the message said (ATMSYS.DRV has altered win system files). Can anyone tell me what this might mean and what to do. I deleted some files just before this and I think I might have deleted something I shouldn't have. Thanks

ATMSYS.DRV is something to do with Adobe TypeManager, I think. So I would guess the operating system is Windows 95 or 98.

Not sure what the problem is, but I would guess that re-installing TypeManager should cure the problem.

Probably, as long as renshaw8 is running Win98 or above.

Hi Renshaw, I brought your post back in with the original one  :)
I cant find anything out about the code that its saying, or the ATMSYS.DRV file  :(
Do you have Adobe Type Manager on your pc ?
If so have you tried reinstalling it as Adept suggested.
The only other thing I can suggest is doing a system restore to a date prior to you deleting the files that you think may have caused the problem, assuming that you can get into either safe mode or normal windows successfully  ???

Thanks everybody, I appreciate your help. I searched for adobe type manager but didn't find a file or folder named that. I restored my computer back and when it finished, it had renamed a couple of files. SWIMPORT - XTACACHE
