Hey, they look cool!  Not sure about the aluminium one with my black case, but I see the guy painted the other one!   :o

Thanks, Bat!  Something for my birthday list, me thinks!   >:D >:D

Well the Vantek Nexus can be obtained in a black version .... looks brilliant with the blue back lights ... I'm tempted myself with that one even in the bog standard cream case (although the trim panel is also black)  ::)

Hmmm... $39, but I wonder what the shipping cost is?  You can't find out unless you give your details and card number.   :(   I wonder if there are any UK outlets that sell it?

Well the Vantek Nexus can be obtained in a black version ....

Any idea where?  Preferably from a UK source to avoid shipping / import tax.  I'd be sorely tempted if I could find a black one!   8) 8)

Another review on the Nexus controller HERE (http://www.subzerotech.com/index.php?module=sz_reviews_display&id=82)

Just to keep your apetite wetted  ;)

You'll be modding your case soon >:D and then overclocking it  >:D >:D

Then maybe THIS (http://www.pc-arena.net/Review_full.asp?ReviewID=176) might tempt you  ;)

It's all very tempting, but I think I'll stick to finding a front panel I like.  I'm still not 100% sure I like the big knob on the Nexus, but I do like the Lost In Space thing, which, of course, is quite a bit more expensive!  I've been looking for a UK supplier that will do it for less than £70 (quite a bit less!), but not had much luck yet.  It seems quite difficult to find retailers of this sort of stuff.   :(

Just to keep you interested Simon HERE (http://www.ocaddiction.com/reviews/casemod/vantec_nexus/) is another review of the Nexus ... I'm quite tempted myself now  ::)

Not overkeen on that one, Bat.  I just want something with flashing lights!   ;D

I still keep looking at that Lost In Space thing, but my cooker need replacing, so things like this are going to have to take a back seat for a bit.   :'( :'( :'(

Well, I suppose I should go on a diet anyway!  I'll just content myself by sitting here watching my flashing lights, and not eat then!   ;D ;D

HERE (http://www.themodfathers.com/article.php?73.0) is a nice LCD display that might interest you SImon, and it has a cool blue backlight too. Not badly priced for an LCD display  8)

Out of stock!!   :'( :'(   You can check for yourself if you don't believe me, here (http://www.coolcasemods.com/products.php?id=new)!   ;)

(Breathes sigh of relief and padlocks wallet again!)

In all seriousness, even if it was in stock, it's an £80 expenditure that I'm still not entirely convinced is justified, given that the PC is under the desk, and I would have to kneel down each time to look at the display!   ::)

I like this Rheobus reviewed HERE (http://www.ocia.net/reviews/adprheobus/adprheobus.shtml) You only use a 3.5" bay that is almost always spare in most systems rather than the more needed 5.24" bays

Haven't checked out the cost yet Simon  ;)

Hmmm, can't say I'm overkeen on either of those, mate!  I think the Lost In Space one is my favorite so far.  There's a Computer Fair locally in a couple of weeks, so I'm going to have a dig round there, and see what I can find!  There was a guy last time with lots of modded cases and stuff, so maybe he'll be there again!    ;) ;D
