Title: Infrared cable!

I Have taken the internal Infrared Cable (sorry don't know the techical name or make!) from my old mother board.  

I was just wondering if it is a simple case of plugging it into the new motherboard for it to work??

It connects  to the motherboard via 4 very thin pins. All parrellel to each other.

What does it connect to on the old motherboard?  I'm not promising an answer, just trying to clarify the question.   :)

Does the new mobo support IR ?
