Title: Backup
Post by: JK on April 17, 2004, 23:51
Hi I wonder if you guys and girls can help me sort out a backup situation. When trying to do a complete PC backup is closes halfway through saying that a programe is still open and running.
I have all the programes closed except for one which I do not know how to close. This being an internal PCI DSL modem with conexant chipset. This is always running and looking for a connection. Does anyone know how to turn it off when doing a backup?

You could always remove it from the device manager and then after you have backed everything up it will install it again after you reboot  :)

How about going into Start > Run > MSCONFIG and temporarily disable it from the startup tab, then reboot?

May be the easiest application to use.
