Title: Egg timer on the mouse arrow ??

This happens on my mates pc when he logs on to the net, when he logs off the net the egg timer goes. just had a load of trouble with his pc so we`ve formatted it ,then when we`ve loaded win xp back on it got the worm blaster so we`ve got rid of that now this egg timer thing and the sounds gone off,  ahh the joys of computers  ::), anybody help ?

When you "log on" to the net, are you using a dial-up (telephone) modem, or are you on broadband (adsl)?.

I presume that you can't do anything when you have this egg timer, like the PC is doing something ALL THE TIME?

sound has gone too?

When you reinstalled XP, did you install the sound/modem drivers?
