Title: remove an operating system

I want to uninstall windows ME from my pc and i want to put up windows 98...its a long story and a boring one...all i need to know is how do i take off an operating system and start from scratch with it help help

Use a 98 bootdisk, select start without CD rom support then at the A: prompt you can just type Format C: /S if there is only one partition on it ie just C drive.
Reboot with your 98 cd in, select start without CD rom support again and then at the A: prompt type E: \SETUP and it should start installing windows 98.
This is based on you only having the one partition on and only wanting one partition on after the reinstall of 98.
If you want to create extra partitions you will have to run Fdisk from the A: prompt after you boo from the bootdisk.
Let me know how big your hard drive is and how many partitions, if any, are on it and how you would like your drive to be set up if you have/want extra partitions  :)
